Day 1 Waitangi, Bay of Islands
Leaving your hotel this morning, cross the Harbour Bridge and travel through the northern suburbs of Auckland with the beach side homes of the Hibiscus Coast to the east and the bush-covered Waitakere Ranges out to the west. Marvel at the magnificence of the protected Kauri tree at Parry Kauri Park and enjoy spectacular scenery of native forests and sub-tropical bush as you make your way to Paihia in the Bay of Islands, a seaside town nestled on the foreshore of this National Maritime Museum Park. On arrival, visit the historic Waitangi Treaty house. In the afternoon, board your luxury catamaran for a leisurely cruise out through the islands to Cape Brett and the 'Hole in the Rock'.

Day 2 Explore Northland (B)
A free day to explore the surrounding area at leisure. Take a 4WD tour to the northern most point of New Zealand, Cape Reinga; enjoy a game of golf or maybe take to the waters of one of the world's most renowned game fishing regions; visit the historic township of Russell and lunch at one of the areas wonderful vineyards... there are many excursions available.

Day 3 Hokianga, Waipoua Footprints (B)
Take a step back in time today as your coach journeys west to the small beach resort of Opononi. Enjoy an eco-cultural experience unlike any other. Local Maori will take you on a guided walk of the largest Kauri forest in the world, willingly sharing their knowledge, stories, songs & musical instruments to enlighten and enhance this tranquil and spiritual location. Afterwards, board your vessel for a guided boat cruise of the beautiful and twisting harbour of Hokianga, an area that boasts the oldest Maori & European settlements in New Zealand.
